Friday Aug 10, 2007 Make the most of the time you spend together as well as the time you are apart, reminding your partner that you still care. Here are some ideas that will keep the romance alive in your relationship.
Walk
Take a romantic stroll. Walking together can enhance your relationship in so many ways. It is said that walking allows you to see that it is 'we' and not just 'me'. Communicating with one another is made easier while walking and chances are you will open up more. To top it all walking releases mood boosting endorphins leaving you both with that feel good factor. Dance
Enrol in an evening class and learn a new dance, one you can do together. Not only will you improve your dancing skills, but if a man can dance well he is usually pushed up in the esteem of a woman. Flowers
This is quite often seen by Men as one of the failsafe romantic gestures. If you are going to buy flowers don't just opt for the cheap and cheerful range; try to be a bit more adventurous in your choice. If you don't know anything about flowers - Ask! The florists will happily tell you names of flowers and give instructions on how to care for them. That way not only will you end up with a gorgeous bunch of beautifully arranged flowers, you can also impress your partner with your knowledge too. Movies
Going to the movies is a pastime enjoyed by many different people. This is about sharing and caring all rolled into one; having a laugh or a cry together, holding hands in the dark, sharing popcorn. Remember you don't have to watch a so called guy's film, try watching a chick flick, who knows you may actually enjoy it. A great alternative to the movies is a night out at the theatre or a concert. Gift
Go shopping and buy something unusual that has meaning to your partner. It doesn't have to be overly expensive but get it wrapped up in beautiful paper and attach a thoughtful card. Holiday
Get away from it all. There are so many distractions within our homes that take the fun and romance out of a relationship, work, bills etc. Take a short holiday break to the destination of your choice. With so many great deals available to suit every pocket, go with your partner and use the opportunity to get to know each other again. Dinner Date
Cook your partner a romantic meal. Finger food and nibbles that you can feed to each other are great ideas for a starter before your meal. Add candles, soft lights and music but don't forget to do the washing up. Weather permitting, take your meal outside into the garden and dine under the stars. Love letter / poetry
In these days of modern technology, sending a love letter is not one of the most difficult things to do. A simple well timed text message, personal email or e-card can be an equally romantic way of conveying your message of lurve.
